The Meals on Wheels Chicago King of the River: Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament & Casino Night has raised over $500,000 since its inception in 2007 in support of MOWC’s mission to promote independence for senior citizens and disabled Chicagoans. Annually, this event generates over $100,000 in gross revenues, providing the funding for over 30,000 meals.
The 6th Annual King of the River will again be held in the Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center, providing a unique experience for our guests. The evening will feature not only the Texas Hold ‘Em tournament, but will also include other casino gaming including Blackjack, Craps, and Roulette. Guests will enjoy gourmet cuisine and an open bar. For more skilled players, our High Roller section provides a separate tournament as well as private bar and buffet.
In planning King of the River, the Associate Board believes providing a memorable, entertaining evening to our guests is crucial. Furthermore the Board is committed to providing our sponsors with a high level of valuable exposure.
King of the River continues to draw an inter-generational audience of young business professionals and seasoned business executives.
