The Auxiliary
The Auxiliary is a new group created to support the Meals on Wheels Chicago’s Associate Board in its commitment to advance the overall mission of the organization. The Auxiliary will consist of a group of highly motivated young professionals that will assist both the Associate Board and the organization in spreading awareness, volunteering and attending fundraising events.
Function:
* Increase and continue to spread awareness of Meals on Wheels Chicago to the community
* Serve as volunteers for fundraising events
* Assist in growing the “Friends Beyond Years” program
* Serve as a source of recruitment for future Associate Board members
The commitment level of Auxiliary members will be less demanding than that of the Associate Board, providing an opportunity for young professionals to get involved despite challenging careers and personal lives.
Meetings will be held quarterly, with the exception of months where additional planning is needed for fundraising events or senior site visits.
Members will attend two annual meetings and/or socials with the Associate Board and/or Board of Directors.
Members are expected to attend a number of volunteer and fundraising events.
No financial commitment is expected
