As Mayor and on behalf of the City of Chicago, I extend my warmest congratulations to the staff and volunteers of Meals on Wheels Chicago on the occasion of your 20th anniversary.

For 20 years, Meals on Wheels Chicago has worked in partnership with the Chicago Department of Aging and the Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities to ensure that our city's most vulnerable population is not overlooked. By providing warm, nutritious meals and home modifications, Meals on Wheels Chicago is working to help individuals maintain independent and dignified lifestyles.

None of this could have been done with out the efforts and the genersou support of caring citizens such as you.  Our community has helped to raise millions of dollars in support of home-bound seniors and individuals with disabilities.

As Meals on Wheels Chicago celebrates this important milestone, I encourage Chicagoans to support this vital organization.  On behalf of the individuals who benefit most from its programs, I thank Meals on Wheels Chicago for its dedicated and caring outreach initiatives and offer my best wishes for much continued success.
