The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities serves individuals with disabilities who live and work in Chicago. Their primary goal is to transform Chicago into the most accessible city in the nation. Meals on Wheels Chicago fully supports their mission by raising funds for the HomeMod program.
The HomeMod program provides financial assistance to qualifying individuals with disabilities for structural alterations that increase the accessibility of homes or apartments. Modifications are limited to a maximum of $10,000 per project and are performed by licensed, insured and experienced home remodeling companies.
