Community Engagement & Outreach

At Meals on Wheels Chicago, we are continually working to rally the larger community behind our efforts. While fundraising has been our main objective, we understand the importance of having a large support network. We understand that many people have time to give and would like to volunteer it in a meaningful way.

In an effort to increase our support base, we are creating a unique, free-standing committee whose primary function is to engage the Chicagoland community and help introduce new "members" to the Meals on Wheels organization. This committee will:

• Organize and execute the Senior Site Program.
• Hold engagement and recruitment events to bring on new members and volunteers.
