Retirement Community Farmers Markets Raise Money for MOWC
 
Chicago, IL-- Throughout summer 2009, Senior Lifestyle Corporation's Chicago retirement communities hosted monthly Wellness Farmer's Markets benefitting MOWC. Cumulatively, the markets raised $5,400 to Meals on Wheels Chicago, which was presented by Adam Kaplan, Corporate Director of Property Operations and Justin Robins, Corporate Director of Hospitality, to the MOWC Board of Directors on January 21, 2010. 
 
Amy Dordek Dolinsky, President of the MOWC Board of Directors commented, "I am thrilled to receive such a generous donation from SLC. They have been incredible supporters of Meals on Wheels. We look forward to their continued support."

The Wellness Markets featured fruits and vegetables in addition to baked goods prepared by each community's residents and chefs. Every month residents and the local community gathered to shop and support this worthy cause. The Executive Chef of each community presented a cooking demonstration using the produce avaiable. The demonstrations exemplified Senior Lifestyle's commitment to healthy and enticing meals. Senior Lifestyle Corporation is proud that the markets were such a success and plans on hosting monthly markets beginning in May, 2010.
