Meals on Wheels Chicago had a busy summer!
Partnered with Chicago Magazine
We worked with Chicago Magazine at their Best Restaurants event as the charity partner for this year. Chicago Magazine did a great job of welcoming us, and we were able to connect with hundreds of attendees who we now consider a part of the Meals on Wheels Chicago family. Chicago Magazine donated a portion of proceeds from each ticket and raised $2,766 for our home delivered meals. In addition to this donation, Chicago Magazine offered a free subscription to their magazine for all of our email subscribers. Thanks Chicago Magazine!

Kicked off our first annual Nourish Our City Birthday Fundraiser
Meals on Wheels Chicago announced its first annual Nourish Our City fundraiser on Thursday, August 8th in celebration of our 32nd birthday. Chicago bars and restaurants participated in the city-wide day of giving by making a donation to MoWC through their food and beverage sales on August 8. Donations supported MoWC programs that improve quality of life and maximize independence for Chicago’s homebound community. Thanks to all of our restaurant partners we raised over $4,000!
Showed up in your neighborhood
Chicago is our city, and we made it our goal to hang out with all of you this summer and spread awareness about our homebound population. You might have seen us at any of the following
neighborhood events having a blast: Taste of River North, Chalk Howard, Best Restaurants Event, Cochon 555, Logan Square Secret Supper, Rock n Roll Marathon. We reached thousands of people with the Meals on Wheels Chicago mission.

Where can you find us next?
You can support us by buying tickets to our Annual Celebrity Chef Ball on November 8th at mealsonwheelschicago.org/ccb and if you can’t make the event, dine out at Eataly on November 11th with SNL writer Katie Rich and a portion of proceeds will go directly to Meals on Wheels Chicago. We are extremely grateful to have such an extensive community of supporters and businesses who contribute time and resources to nourish our homebound neighbors. Thank you for helping us keep independence on the table and relieving social isolation among the Chicago aging population.
