Reflecting on Our Work

January is always a time of reflection and this past year has been both challenging and inspiring. We saw once again how much good can be done when people come together to help others, and we are grateful for the power of community that made a difference in the lives of so many.
It is your decision to act and show your support for Meals on Wheels Chicago which has made a significant impact on the lives of so many, as you can see below.
The hunger crisis in our community continues to be very real and seniors and people with disabilities have always been particularly susceptible. Many in our city—particularly those on the South and Southwest sides—face significantly higher rates of poverty and food insecurity. Covid-19 brought us more clients than we’ve ever had in our 35-year history, and we sustain service to them – without a waitlist – because of you.
Thank you for making a difference this past year. We hope you will continue to help us fight hunger and isolation among seniors and individuals with disabilities in 2023. Because together, as a community, we are powerful.
With Gratitude,
