Stephen Huang serves as the pastry chef at Nico Osteria, an authentic Italian dining destination, located in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. Huang began his career in Chicago in 2012 after studying cuisine and pastry at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute. Huang’s experience has ranged from Michelin-starred restaurants, North Pond and Sixteen, to opening two local Chicago restaurants, Steadfast and Portsmith. Huang’s cooking style aims to blur the line between fine dining desserts and approachable sweets. He incorporates spices, herbs and world flavors into his desserts, adding layers of textures and flavors.
